Air con stinks of wee

Why does mine syink of Pyss? any one had the same prob/ whats the cure?

My Chim has no aircon and it stinks of p!ss too. I'm wondering if it is the wool carpets? (In my case it could have been a previous owner)

if you have wool carpets thats a sign they have got wet somewhere and the carpet is humming away niceley

seems only when I have the air con on though will check for damp though tonight.

I've had cars which smelt of curry before - I think it's because the heater radiator has a slight leak and the smell is the anti freeze/sludge type smeg floating around in their?

The air con on my wife's Fiesta sometimes smells of pee as well, most unpleasant...

Andy, I have just spoke to the very helpfull man at Dream machines. he said that it is probably in need of a recharge. Its going back in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know.

Guys, are you sure that this is an aircon problem and not down to a frightened passenger!

you will find that the smell is due to bacteria growing in the air system due the collection of moisture from the cold air. if you take it to a air con place they will spray the fan box and air pipes with an anti-bacterial spray that kills the bacteria and stops the smell. it should cost about £20. by the way r143 refrigderant is odourless and colourless so it wont be that.

My Griff heater smells of wee too I understand its soemthing to do with the glassfibre melting in the engine heat!

it is maybe the polyester that smell.
