3.6 or 4.0 litre Speed Six

I see there is a smiliar thread - and my apologies if there are any more. But....TVR are going to a 3.6 litre engine. Why are they doing it? Is there a performance difference (on paper), are they substantially different units (will reliability issues with some of the 4.0s mean changes that have/will been incorporated into its 'little' sister. Excuse my ignorance - I am not an engine expert where the home grown units are concerned!
