Can somebody please clarify if the normal tuscan comes in both a 3.6 AND a 4-litre engine? Or is a tuscan with a 4-litre engine a tuscan S? It's really doing my head in because i'm after a tuscan but when i'm looking at classifieds i never know which is which...

From the start of production in spring 2000 - the Tuscan came in two flavours - the 4.0 360 bhp 'standard' guise and also the 4.0 380 bhp Red Rose. Around late 2001 TVR rejigged the range to produce a 3.6 litre 350 bhp and the Tuscan S 4.0 390 bhp. However, even when TVR announced the new arrangement, they continued to churn out standard 4.0 litres instead of the 3.6 for quite some time.

What the engine variant is depends therefore largely upon the age of the car and whether it was standard or higher performance spec.

However, you can still order a brand new 4 litre 360 BHP car. Sorry to confuse.
