Juddering - can it be fixed?
Discussion
The Tuscan is back with the dealer trying to fix the juddering at c6,000 rpm (don't get to use the change up lights very often!). This is the third attempt. They have looked at the HT leads, spark plugs, throttle bodies and still can't fix it. I told them about the dethrottled chip (per Fish's posting) and they are still drawing a blank. Has anyone had this problem fixed by the dealer? If so, please could you let me know the what the cure was and who the dealer was.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
could be the throttle body assys, the bronze plane bearings through the throttle bodies wear out, causing bolx info from the pots which are one at each end of the butterfly spindle - the ecu re maps this bolx into the control memory, and the whole thing gets worse quickly. Ask dealer to re-map to factory default, and see if it improves - if it does - be aware it will very soon go bolx again. OR - early days, I had this, and the coils was finally found to be the culprit.
