Anyone know the correct tyre pressure for 18" wheels on the Tuscan. It's currently wearing 35 series rubber.

The handbook only states the pressure for 16" Wheels

I guess the correct tyre pressure is what feels right. I would start with the handbook pressure of (F)22 psi or 1.51 bar and (R)1.65bar and then take it up a little at a time

.... until they explode! (ok only jokin)

You'll know when it feels just right

I recently ran them at 25 and 28psi front and rear on an Airfield day and found this to be too high, skippy back end! i think i ended up at 25/25 and it felt right

I don't know whether anyone else has experienced this, but I've had a difference of 2-3psi when I've used air pumps at different garages.

Does anyone recommend an accurate way of checking tyre pressure?

Get yourself a good quality digital tyre pressure guage Halfords etc sell them.Garage forcourt pressure indicators are nevr very accurate and the ones on foot pumps & small compressors are just as bad.

Horses for courses I think. I run my SO2s 18" 40 profile tyres at 21 at the front, 23 at the rear, as recommended by Michael Caine. On a track I found adding 5 psi all round 26/28 made for a very acceptable setup.

Cheers,

Andy.
