Fleece Rear Windows Bags
Discussion
My friend has the factory that makes all plastic and polycarbonate bits for TVR's so slightly off topic if you need replacement rear screens I can get them at big discount from TVR!!!!, They are also the latest shape that fits all Tuscans but fits in only one place and is a bit wider (No more fiddling to get it in the right place and no more leaking!!!). The main problem with the screen is scratches, due to the polycarbonate being a material that scratches very easily. The factory is looking into producing a leather zipped bag with full wool lining to prevent this when the window is off the car. My friend has asked me to put this out as a little market research to see if there would be an interest for this sort of item. It would be a very high quality bag and would probably be around the £70 mark, a lot less than a new screen!!! Would you please post any comments on this??, Also if anyone is interested in the rear screens please e-mail me. The standard screen has a green tint to it but I can also get them with a light blue tint which looks very nice!!!, suits blue/silver tuscans the most. I have some pictures of the blue screens if anyone is interested in them.
sorry for the length of this post!!!

Richard,
I ran the Tuscan for the first time with the new screen I got from you. All is OK.
I agree that the material does scratch easily. Can you recommend what the best way is to go about cleaning the screens to avoid scratching? I have used Plexus plastic polish, normally reserved for aircraft wings. Hoever, even using a brand new clean cotton cloth with this polish - it picks up scratches (doh!).
I know some owners do not use the bag TVR (as supplied now) in the way it is intended. Some turn it inside out then place it on top of the roof when stowed in the boot, and lay the window down on top. It can be tricky to get into the bag for one person in a breeze whilst trying desperately not to drop the window!

Richard, would be interested in prices of a new screen, mine is one of the old ones and does't always fit right - no problem in the summer but a pain when it rains!
Also, re the screen cover, can you suggest they make it with a fleece covering outside AS WELL so that it doesn't scratch the roof if you but the screen on top of the roof when in the boot - have had a couple of scuffs on the roof from this, now I put the screen under the roof
Cheers
