While browsing autotrader yesterday, I saw a crash repaired Tuscan (W plate) for £24995. Thought people may like to know. I Just wish I had £25K spare at the moment! Sparks

Jeez, please tell me this isn't the typical selling price at the moment. I was hoping that you could expect at least £32,000

Phew, Maybe.... Just been to the Top Marques Site and there are 13 Tuscans all priced at least at £32K and most higher. Even the one at fernies is priced as such to suggest a trade in price of at least £30K. I know residuals ain't what they used to be but 35% depreciation in 12 months ????

Its a real pain. I want to get rid of mine, but would lose too much on it. Looks like I will have to keep it for at least two years which will be up next June.

I spoke to a dealer today on a different topic (i.e. I'm not selling mine) & they reckoned on a value of £37k ish for an RR with 9k miles & 1-year old. (was £45k new). I suppose 18% ain't too bad.

Why do almost all TVR owners reckon their cars are worth so much!!? Back in 1997/98 you could expect to sell your TVR for virtually what you paid for it 2 years previously. Today thought the reality is 30-40% depreciation over 2 years if you keep the miles down and the condition A1. I had to stop getting the sprint mag as the private ads made me laugh too hard!
