here's one 4 all u mechanically minded owners.

my tuscan sounds fine at idle, but as soon as revs go above say 1700 it squeels like mad.
it sounds a bit like a water punp squeel but it's been back to the dealer twice now and they keep saying it's the power steering belt and tightening it up.

well it's happened again now and apart from being a tad worried about driving it ( 60 miles on mway each day) it sounds dreadful and is drawing glances of the wrong kind.

any ideas? please 'cos it's doing my head in.

I'd try a dose of WD40 around the pulleys - fixed a similar problem on one of my recent motors - can't remember which one, but the effect was dramatic.

DO NOT PUT OIL ON THE PULLEYS. The power steering belts do sometimes squeel on the Tuscan they can be adjusted so the don't but they need to be quite tight. If after adjustment it still squeels try cahnging the belt as a prolonged squeel can shine the belt up reducing it's friction hence easier to slip etc etc.

Could it be a bearing on the pulley system on its way out?

Someone once told me to drip candle wax onto the offending belt. My mate tried it on his MR2 and it worked a treat...
