Prices on Early Tuscans
Discussion
I recently purchased my S reg Griff with a view to run it for a couple of years and then use it as a spring board to getting a Tuscan, but I've noticed that Tuscan prices have been dropping to a tempting level.
What is the general concensus of opinion, I've seen the odd early Tuscan for around the 26K mark which would be my budget right now but is it likely to be a decent car at that price...
I'm guessing you guys would have a better idea on this sort of thing...
Cheers in advance

You're right, DC. There are some tempting cars out there. I would dearly love to move on up to a Tuscan when the opportunity is right.
I would want an everyday car, and independent servicing would be necessary to keep to a realistic budget. Oh and, touch wood, the Griff is a very good everyday, reliable car! So I am hesitant while this is the case.
Personally, I want to wait a little bit longer. While the early cars are often well sorted everyday cars, we are looking at the very bottom of the ladder. In a year or so I think that a late 2001 Tuscan, reputedly a slightly better build standard, which has had some use will be a reasonable price and just off the very "budget" end. Equally, there will be more experience in the independent sector for maintaining them.
Alternatively, I have been very impressed with some cars at about the £29-30k mark today. But main dealers are just off the radar.....
