I wouldn't have thought so (adjust at the hinge ?). I haven't heard of this happening on a Tuscan. I think it was more common on the Griffith and Chimaeras where the doors were attached to the body work.

Very common on tuscans due to length of doors and having to use fairly weak hinges due to fragile fibreglass. Mine used to end up being re adjusted every few weeks.

Sometimes a brutal jank in the upwards direction when the door is open is all it needs, otherwise pop it into a dealer. It is very much pot luck when adjusting the doors. Inherent problem of fibreglass cars.

I thought the doors were attached to the front roll bar, not the fibre glass ?

Could be, still badly designed either way.

If you take a look at the hinges they are quite substantial, and attached to something very solid (the front roll bar). I don't see how this is badly designed. I can't see how any car door's alignment will survive if you lift the door vertically!

Seen dealers and factory staff do far worse in order to realign doors.

Perhaps they have changed the design since I had my early tuscan. Mine was SH*TE and the doors were useless. The dealer ended up having a spare key to car and my garage in order to pick it up and drop it off. It ended up going back so many times it had its own place in the forecourt. I would have the car dropped off on a friday afternoon having had the doors realigned along with every other niggle and by Sunday afternoon they were 1 inch out again.

Cant see how it could be a good design, hence my comment.

Glad to see the problems seem to have eased on the newer builds though.
