Hi all,

New to this group, but not TVR's - had 2 Chimps and just part exchanged my 4.5 Cerbera Lightweight for a new Tuscan to be delivered start of January.

Although I have kept upto date on TVR's I have owned I have never followed the development of the Tuscan. So, here is the engine confusion I have. The car I have bought is a 3.6 at 350bhp as on the TVR website. I also understand they do a 4.0 S version. What confuses me is most secondhand Tuscans seem to be 4.0 either with or without the red rose conversion.

Has the 3.6 recently replaced the standard 4.0? or is it the 3.6 is a bad buy because it's not very popular?

Thanks

Mark

The 3.6 is the new engine replacing the 4ltr but not much difference in power if any.
The red rose was the upgrade which ended in 01 (i think) The 4ltr tuscan with the red rose upgrade is now what they call the tuscan s (a nice ploy by tvr to make some money and intro a new model). I have the last of the tuscan 4ltr with the red rose upgrade(01/51 plate) and wooooo is it a mover and a grooover.I hope you will enjoy this super car as much as i have.
