Hang about - ignoring the cans for a moment - Is that a standard Tuscan with a rear spoiler and NOT a Tuscan S??? The indicators are in the back window. Or am I having a Friday morning senior moment?

It IS a standard Tuscan - I've just double checked against a photo of an S. I did not know that the rear spoilers were available for these. (Or has some someone with a Mk II Escort noticed something has gone missing?). Quite like it actually!

£600 is and expensive mod to get slightly more rumble IMHO. If anyone has had a Tuscan exhaust mod I would like to see and hear it at the next Liverpool TVRCC or other northern meet...

I was under the impression the factory wouldn't supply S spoliers to owners of std cars ..

Yes I agree that £600 is not an inconsiderable amount of money but you do get more than just a bit of extra noise. This is a full stainless system, larger bore, no central resonators, and a smaller, lighter, straight through, titanium can for the rear. A titanium sports exhaust for an Elise is around £800 I believe. Christmas is coming! Mail order is possible!

And apart from that, don't those cans just look silly - or is it me?

I don't like the look of it, I mean it looks like someone has run over a couple of motorbikes lol

Does anyone else think those welds look a bit messy?

What welds? There are no visible welds on the cans. I suspect what you are seeing are the chrome finishing trims. I'll post some more close up pics of the cans only so you can see better.

I like the look of them, and £600 seams more than reasonable for a full system. I assume that would be fitted free if it was part of a service as the exhaust comes off anyway?

hexhamhc, how about answering the question about the spolier? Is it now an option on the standard Tuscan? And what are the lights on the spoiler for? There still seems to be the same amount of low lights?

Strange - isn't that that the worst of both worlds - lower power and a duck tail on the back ?

I believe that it is a standard 4.0 Tuscan to which the owner has fitted a rear spoiler in the style of a Tuscan 'S'. The 'extra lights' are in fact red reflectors just like the 'S'. As has been correctly stated you cannot obtain the spoiler and splitter off the 'S' to fit to your 'lower powered' Tuscan!

I can get spoilers made if anyone is interested .. the rear one looks pants IMO, but the front splitter might help reduce lift at high speeds.

600 pounds for the full system is indeed good value

nice, very nice, I must get myself a black Tuscan, I would suggest a straight through type exhaust poking out would look better still, could it be done? the cans could be moved underneath. You'll never make a silencer look anything but a silencer IMO

Apologies, all becomes clear on the close-ups

Come on admit it HHC these are pure and simple motorbike cans! I think originals look better anyway!

All right I admit it then, these are certainly not any old motorbike exhaust cans! These are custom designed and built for the car and are far smaller and lighter than the similarly seen motorbike ones__ so there!!
The system is, as I keep reiterating, a full system designed to fit straight on to the car with no modification or tweaking necessary, and will enhance all aspects of ownership! (Whoops slipped into car salesman mode!) Thank you.
