Firking wing mirrors!!!!
Discussion
My wing mirrors are playing up again!! They just go into spasm, on both sides moving in all directions. Their door mounted control can't stop the little buggers.
The noise is irritating to say the least, the fact i can't use them to see could be dangerous. Spoken to the dealer about this many times but they have never been able to sort it.
Is there a fuse that i could remove(without disturbing anything else of course) to kill the power after all no one drives the car except me and i don't mind adjusting them manually.

If it happens again, try pressing the big button down (the one that you use to move the mirrors up,down, left, right). Havent had this happen to me myself but I cant move the wing mirrors on mine until I press it in so it might send some signal to the controller which might stop them moving.

Why the is it necessary to have software to adjust mirrors . Surely a simple directional switch as in all electric mirrored cars I have driven is all that is needed?

I have to agree. I spent a short time setting up the mirrors on a Tuscan I was test driving yesterday. It suffered from the standard mirrors only moving up and down problem. I found that very very careful application of pressure on just the right part of the switch allowed you to move them left and right as well - but you had to press in exactly the right place. So I think it's probably due to dodgy design/fitment of the switch rather than software. Can't comment on the spasming mirrors though.
