newbie questions.

Got a Tuscan today... very nice indeed, however I have a few questions if anyone can help...
The buttons on the keys do not seem to do anything, should they? which leads me onto the next question, how do you lock the car so the buttons on the wing mirrors do not work? I have a feeling it is related to question 1.
The boot seems to have stopped working as well. It worked when I picked it up as I put my ruck sack in it with the manual DOH!!, and now it will not open...
Finaly, anything over about 50% throttle makes the engine judder very slightly, like it has gone to 5 cylinders or the ECU is retarding the fuel flow, it still goes like a rocket, just not very smoothly. I think this is down to the wrong fuel being put in it, maybe normal unleaded and not super, so I am going to run it down and get some Optimax in it to see if it helps.
Any ideas would help.
Kind regards

Hi Royston,
Congratulations on your new car.
I only have one button on the key fob and this toggles lock/unlock. If it isnt doing anthing then maybe you have a flat battery in the key fob.
To lock the car when inside and prevent the wing mirror bttons working there is a button to the left of the steering wheel wih a green flashing LED which you press.
With the boot, I have found sometimes that the boot switch does not trigger if another electrical operation is happening, ie the window closing when shutting either of the doors. I suggest you wait a few seconds and try again. The key is if the green window LEDs are flashing then dont even bother doing anything else electrical as it probably wont work.

It's possible that questions one and two could be related. If you press the green button to lock the doors from the outside it also locks the boot. I always find it weird when I pull in to a garage and have to lock the car, then unlock it just to open the boot (and yes I did forget once and spent about three minutes trying to figure out how to open the boot).
