No fuel pump, no crank

Hi all
I have a problem with my 2001 Tuscan S Mk1 - it won't start. Very unusual, it has never let me down..
- When I turn the key in the ignition I get the usual dash lights
- pressing the immobiliser button on the fob results i a green light by the manual immobiliser fob aperture
- the oil light doesn't illuminate, fuel pump doesn't start and it won't crank.
Prior to the problem I had driven it into the garage - nothing else.
- I've tried both keys and used the manual immobiliser fob in the aperture.
- I've disconnected the battery both at the battery itself and the 100A link in the passenger footwell
- I've checked the fuses (fuel pump, immobiliser) with a meter and they check out OK
- I've re-seated the fuel pump and master ignition relays.
The fact I have two problems is concerning me - I would expect, for example, that the fuel pump wouldn't start but it would crank (or vice versa), but the fact both have filed makes me question whether the immobiliser controls both, or whether the fuel pump relay also enables the starter circuit. I also wonder about the oil pressure warning light not coming on.
For full disclosure, I did remove what I think was an old battery brain and fitted a 100A fuse in its place the passenger footwell several weeks ago, but it has started and run since I did that work. I don't think it can be related, but i hate co-incidences.
Does anyone have any insight or ideas? - I've gone through what I think is the obvious and now I'm flailing around.

OP, had a 'similar' issue in a Sainsbury's car park a few year ago.
A call to Dave at HF Solutions soon resolved the issue.
It was the immobiliser preventing the fuel pump running and the starter motor from cranking.
You need to get the Meta control units out from the driver's footwell area and laid out on the carpet.
Dave advised to look for and locate a 'flat' wire from the Meta ecu and locate a joining plug on this flat wire (looks like a mobile phone charge wire, as does the male end). Spray some contact cleaner onto the plug. While you're at it, do the same for all the multi pin plugs associated with the Meta units.
Sorted my 'dead' car out!

Thanks for all of the responses. The problem is the immobiliser. After some fantastic help from Dave at HF solutions, I spent several happy hours wedged into the drivers footwell (I'm not a good fit ) with a multimeter diagnosing the problem, and proved the immobiliser is the problem, so Dave is sending me a replacement (not a Meta which aren't available) which fairly plug and play.
This is the first time either of my Tuscan's have let me down over 12 years and ~40k miles, so I'm not too wound up about it.

Can you let us know how easy it is to fit the replacement? Also, do the original keys (inc button) work as before?
I'm thinking about a preventative change to my immobiliser before I (potentially) get stuck in a situation like yours.
