Apologies all if this is an old topic. My Tuscan Mk2 makes a clunking sound at the rear when I go in reverse. I am told it is something to do with the rear differential, and seem to recall it occurred in my old Chimaera? Any guidance would be appreciated.

I'd be looking at diff bushes, then prop shaft UJ's for play.

Really need it on a lift to understand what's happening. What sort of relationship do you have with your service garage?

Hard to diagnose from a distance.

Good luck! Nick

I had this with my Chimaera in the past, rear braking pads where not fitted properly (in the case they have been changed recently for you),

Thanks both, looks like it needs to go on a ramp!

As an update it was the play in the UJ, all now resolved. Many thanks.
