Has anybody fitted the full ACT system with a decat in place on there tuscan. I'm curious on the noise levels when cruising.
Thanks Simon

Yes I have. At my request Tim, went full beans on the silencing for my decatted Tuscan S as I failed the sound test at Cadwell last year.

We replaced the back boxes and the silencers, as the original back boxes may not have had the strength for the new silencers. I had no sound check issues at Cadwell this year, and it's a much more pleasant drive at motorway speeds - the tiring 70mph drone has gone.

Couple of points:

- Aesthetically the down turn on the silencers isn't pretty - but it does deflect the noise downwards so better for sound checks, so why I opted for that. If track days aren't your worry, then something more pleasing to the eye might be your preferred choice.

- The back box didn't come with any brackets, so xworks had to cut the brackets off my old exhaust and weld them to the new one. Just something to note if you're planning to self-fit.

I'm yet to replace the trackday silencers with my shark cans. That will be an interesting test to see if the backboxes alone reduce the noise by much.
