Newbie Question - Reversing Light Bulb
Discussion
Newly acquired '02 Tuscan S, going around sorting a few niggles, one of which is non-functioning reversing light. I thought the simplest thing to check first would be the bulb before moving up the chain towards the switch. Also useful to get familiar with basic maintenance tasks, like bulb changes.
How is the bulb holder supposed to come out? Couldn't get anything to move by hand. Having unplugged the connector and peeled back the rubber, I've managed to get some grips on something solid, and can get the central bit to turn with mechanical assistance, but nothing seems to be actually unscrewing or disengaging.
Any clues welcome - or even a pic of a dis-assembled light assembly so I know what I'm trying to do!

Welcome to the world of Tuscan ownership, I cannot remember how to remove the bulb on a mk1. However the reverse switch can be very fickle occasionally. Fortunately it is relatively easy to access. It is under the gear stick gaiter. It is operated by the gearstick it can occasionally go out of sync. As it is easy to access I would check its functioning correctly before looking elsewhere.
That’s my experience others may have different opinions.
Good luck, the days are getting longer, won’t be long before the roof comes off.

Thanks for the reply
I've just discovered what I'm doing wrong, having found a picture on ebay of a lamp holder. I need to be unscrewing the whole back end of the lamp - unfortunately covered in velcro, carpet and glue on mine! Back to the garage... I'm fully expecting to be lifting the console for the switch tho'.
