ACT Airbox Trumpets
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone had tried these before?
I remember reading that the plastic airbox was actually quite well designed for its purpose, so always a bit dubious of modifications here.
They do claim a dyno-proved lift in torque though...

Don't forget to add a special air filter; special plug leads; special spark plus; special plug socks; special oil additive; special octane booster; a special engine cleaning service; special exhaust; and don't forget to move to a cold country right by the sea, because altitude and warm air really affect engine performance. If there is any money left over maybe some snake oil...... because you will really feel the 2.5% torque improvement!
And they are just glued on with basically Araldite! Keeping the TVR glue tradition alive!

I would NOT recommend fitting them to TVRs plastic airbox which melts and warps and if you're really unlucky burns.
Years ago I replaced my airbox with an ACT carbon one and opted for fitted trumpets , didn't notice any performance benefit but didn't expect any but a much nicer cosmetic appearance. But don't forget to drill a hole to prevent sucking up water through the hedgehog trap
