Request: MK1 broken rear high level indicator for testing...
Discussion
I'm working on an idea to fix the MK1 rear high level LED indicators without having to replace/resolder new individual LEDs in place which looks extremely difficult and time consuming. The end result should look exactly the same externally.
So if anyone has one lying around that is in need of repair please let me know, I have 2 fully functioning indicators so would be a shame to sacrifice one of these for my test.
Thanks in advance

Is there much point if yours work? If you are doing it, so that you can offer your services to others, then there is probably going to be quite a bit of trial and error, and with respect are you not just an enthusiastic amateur who has recently bought a written-off Tuscan?
Someone like Python Racing (pythonracing.co.uk) or Paul Smith Electronics have all the necessary equipment to do such jobs, have the experience and are a recognised specialist business and their work will come with a guarantee.
I'm not sure the market is large enough for you to bother. I'm also not sure that anyone will offer you a unit to experiment on for free. There are units that don't fully work on ebay for £75.

Is there much point? Not words I expected to hear on a TVR forum…
Anyway madam P a lot of assumptions there and looks like I will need to prove myself here before I start asking for too many favours, which I am used to being an Englishman living in Edinburgh
.
You are quite right though, I am 'just someone that has bought a written-off Tuscan' (are you stalking me?), but I hope that doesn't mean I am less worthy of owning a Tuscan than someone that is able to spend £80k on a Sagaris and send it to Powers to have it's bum wiped.
In fixing up a written off Tuscan, albeit not very written-off Tuscan (it's more a case of 'neglected by someone that can't fix stuff') I feel I'm doing something worthwhile and you will find I like doing things a little differently and there will be a few more posts that don’t sit right, but bear with me.
I’m sure there are plenty of companies that will relieve me of my cash to fix broken TVR things but if I can find a way to do it myself, I will. And probably have with regards to the rear indicators and although mine work fine, as with all 22yr old MK1 Tuscan rear indicators they are on borrowed time, a couple of LEDs have failed already due to the corrosion on the +/- pins and (I'm surprised that any work as all the pins look like anchors lost at sea) so while I am re-building I want to fix anything that looks iffy. These look iffy.
I will share everything I do on my build thread just as I have done with previous cars on previous forums, without making a penny. It’s for the love of Tuscan right?
For a very long but interesting read see one of my previous threads https://www.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5/100484...

ref the indicators, were you thinking of incorporating the brake lights into the pod?. There have been some previous posts regarding trying to add the brake lights in. To date I have not seen anything to suggest they were successful. I do happen to have a pair of spare indicator lights which I maybe persuaded to part with. If you would like to message me off site we could discuss. Good luck with your project, we need these cars to remain on the road.
Thanks porterpainter much appreciated.
@Green Fly, I think I've seen a post on here with the brake light incorporated into the indicator but I've got a nice slim aluminium bodied high level LED brake light to fit as I don't want to spoil the original look of the indicators, there's a lot of different directions to go in with regards to LED lighting these days and I have a few ideas to balance up the colours of the rear lights from left to right etc.
Was considering going with madam Ps suggestion of buying the eBay one, I'll send you a message and see what we can work out, thanks for the offer.
