Hi Guy's, This is a good time to do one of the best modifications on your car while we are all laid up. If you want any help let me know 07773452028 Thanks Allan
That is a huge improvement on the rivets from the old kit.Edited by allan howell on Friday 22 May 09:41
Can I retro fit those instead of the rivets from your old kit?
Hi Guy's, Any one who would like to replace the rivets with these very small Stainless Steel bolts can do so with no problem at all, All you do is to drill out a rivet one at a time with a 5mm drill then Countersink the hole and then put the bolt in its place and tighten, Job Done, Then just do the rest, It's a very simple job that any one can do, If you would like any more information just get in touch, Regards, Allan

Interested. What size countersunk bolts are needed?
BumpAlso, Allan, post-conversion, can I take out the original screw down studs from the top of both wheel arches? Or are they still needed to help "locate" the Bonnet?
I've retained the M8 studs on top of the inner wheel arch and the ball catches at the scuttle end. I did so because, whilst the bonnet is 'compound curved', there isn't a huge amount of strength in the moulding (no x-bracing like the Chimaera), and I felt it locates the bonnet better.

Hi Raffaele,Allan Howell, the "creator" of his version of the Tuscan opening main bonnet kit is a very helpful guy. He has produced many kits for DIY fitting and also supplied TVR garages with kits for the garages to fit on behalf of their customers.
My 'concern' would be the add-on cost because it would be an import into the EU from the UK - - as well as the paperwork required by Italian customs?? (I voted to remain!!). Of course, many of the courier companies (FedEx, UPS etc.) will do all this for you
One way around it would be A) to get a friend visiting the UK to receive it, and bring the kit over in his baggage. Or B) you have a holiday in the UK and pick it up/get kit sent to your UK address?
Ultimately, it's a ball/spherical bearing hinge fitted to/using the existing M8 bolt that fixes the front end of the main bonnet to the body - then a through bolt goes through the moveable part of the bearing and into the bonnet with some plate to evenly distribute the load.
