Who's got the highest mileage Tuscan then? I'm just wondering about the longevity of speed six engines. Do you wait for the oil to reach working temp., before hitting the loud pedal?

Everyone has stolen my post! First it was Ted www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=13&h=0&t=17769 , and now you nubbin!

I posted this ages ago www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=16498&f=5&h=0 , (although the response wasn't that great ), but it's a good topic so the more people that post it the better! For the record, 9,800 in mine now!

10,600 now. Went to France last night and erm... used their roads for a bit of "fun"

Always below 2000rpm until oil temp reaches 45degC, and 3000rpm until 60degC. 90% of the time leave the car warming up to full temp in the garage though before moving off at all.

15000 miles, no problems at all
Agree with previous comments about warming up.
- I always wait for the water and oil to warm up.

Went on holiday to Bavaria last month
Very stable on Autobahns at 150+

26,000 and counting - counting problems that is!

always done the warm up before giving it large, but that wont help with faulty parts, no amount of care will stop a badly made finger follower from wearing.

Still great fun though and still getting amazed looks from c=other car passengers, even after 2 years!
