Travelling With Piece of Mind
Discussion
I'm thinking of spending a good few days in France next month, are there any "survival kits" that I should be thinking of purchasing before I go? I have European breakdown cover etc, although if it is something simple that cannot be fixed at the roadside due to the unavailabilty of minor standard items i.e. throttle cables etc that will not fill the spaces where fine wine should, and will be. I would be extremely grateful if anyone can give me an idea what the essentials I should be stocking?
Many Thanks,
James.

There are a couple of TVR dealers in France, I would say take their contact details just in case you need anything
Other than that, throttle cable has been in my boot since it went about 18 months ago - and I typically havent needed it since!
You will need some screwdrivers and stuff if you do intend to use te replacement bulbs, and also if Le Plod want you to change the dipping of the lights - you need to remove the lights to do this!!!
Obviously you want some tyre foam in case of punctures and also a foot pump to re-inflate, also worth carrying spare fuel can in case you get caught short
Apart from that I can't think of much that is essential, enjoy the trip, you will be flooded with questions about the car

From the TVR website. I have used the Paris dealer and they were very helpful when my old Chimaera 500 sheared one of its pulley tensioner bolts outside Paris. Went past the Cannes one with MB. (aka Graham and Rosie) on a business trip (jolly!).
