Tuscan fuel pump on all the time?

hello chaps
changed the Battery over for a fully charged one and when I conneted it all up
the alarm did the old flashing lights and windows but the fuel pump come on and it stayed on???
and yes will have to do the old key fob thing but the fuel pump was still going and would not turn off so had to disconnect the Bat
so people any ideas? please

My first thoughts would be to suspect the fuel pump relay.
Easy enough to check. I'd think that the "big current" contacts (forget the numbering convention) are sticking together. With the relay on the bench, you'd check for continuity with a multi-meter through those terminals with the relay 'de-energised'.
Other folks might have other ideas though!

This is the first test and if the relay checks ok things get complicated......Test and post backEasy enough to check.
