I dont ever intend to track my car therefore i dont require a rock hard ride. Its a road car and would like something that soaks up the potholes and doesn't shake my fillings lose if i drive over a matchstick. Whats the best way to go to add a bit of comfort to my ride.

Check to see if its riding on or just off the bumpstops. If its been lowered from factory ride height, I suspect most were when new, it will probably be just off the bump rubbers and ride pretty hard when they are being used. Consider fitting the Tuscan S retro fit Bilstein dampers/springs if it doesn't already have them. As these shocks have really good bump compliance (if not run on the bump rubbers), and even though the rear springs are stiffer they mean the suspension doesn't blow through all the travel too quickly (and then hit bump rubbers).

I have gaz golds fitted and something I want to fettle with is the preload and rebound settings in them sometime this spring to create exactly what you’re talking about.

There are variables and problems though with making something too comfortable and ending up with body roll effecting the handling and so on and so forth. Kind of a trade off.

However saying that, just fitting better shocks has made 100% difference in handling and comfort I would say.

It is a basic sports car after all though, enjoy it for what it is, that being crazy fun 😉
