It's been a long time since I've posted on here! I've owned a Crystal Topaz Tuscan MK1 for 11 years now. It has been a blast! But now needs some sprucing up. The valve guides are worn and I fear it won't get through the next MOT. I'm fairly convinced to get the Powers Performance 4.3 rebuild, has anybody else had this? Is it worth it at £11K? I'm also thinking of having a colour change to reflex purple or cascade indigo. That will need a full re-trim too to match. Has anyone got pictures of cars and their interiors in those 2 colours? Ta.

I'd look at it as an additional 4k or so over a standard rebuild rather than an 11k cost smile
I went from a 3.6 in my T350 to a 4.3 and am so glad I did, though the 3.6 was not exactly slow in the first place so I had a number of initial reservations. The 4.3 is very torquey from low down but still spins up like a speed 6 should. A 4l is a little in between but having driven a few Tuscans and a Sag I think there is still a big enough difference IMHO to justify the additional outlay.

When you put it like that Zippee there's no argument! My driving style is more suited to low down Torque, so my mind is made up. Just need to decide on colour change and re-trim colour (currently magnolia leather) which would clash with reflex purple or cascade indigo.

I had a top engine rebuild at Str8six and it only lasted 3,000 miles before needing more work.
NOT Str8six fault as the problem was really bottom end but I didn't know this till now.
Bought car with top end rebuild already done before so both of us took the cheap option.
Car is now fitted with Powers 4.3 so won't happen again.
Dom said he doesn't recommend just top end and sure he said he doesnt offer that anymore.
Do it once and do it all!!!
