Engine Weight

Does anyone know the weight of Speed Six engine? I'm just curious how much of the (already) low weight of the Tuscan is from the engine. Also, has anyone looked into reducing the weight of thier Tuscan even further (for a trackday racecar)? If so, what have you removed from the car and how much weight did it save you?

If you want a track day race car you're much better off buying a proper track day car. If you really want a TVR, that means a Tuscan racer. You can only save a little weight on the road car by doing stuff that makes it less of a road car, e.g. removing interior, stereos, air con, etc.

The same Speed 6 engine is used on the race car, so it's presumably already fairly light. It's certainly all alloy anyway.

Or even better get a Tuscan racer from the Tuscan series with the AJP8 engine.
