I have a right hand indicator dash light out, and my question is what is the easiest way to change the said bulb please? looks like dropping the whole steering/wheel unit to the lowest position then removing the top pod which then looks like that may give me access unless someone know better.

Not replaced any, but yes you can get to the back of them by removing the pod. Drop the column fully down and out towards the seat, remove the two dome hex head screws from the sides towards the front and the two dome head nuts from the rear sides and ease the pod clear.

They're not bulbs, they're a row of 6 leds, mounted on a circuitboard with two input cables (one for each side). It's worth giving the connections on the back of the main lcd panel a wiggle and making sure the connecter blocks are pushed well into the circuitboard as it's these which control the signals.

Easy to take the top part of the pod out as per Andy's note, then just remove the lower part of the pod (the bit with the leds in) by removing the two bolts from each side, then stick your head underneath and you'll see the whole unit is held in place by one m8 bolt which screws into a static part of the whole column assembly.

You can then drop the lower part of the pod and give all the connections a clean!
