Tuscan 2 boot - gas struts.
Discussion
Hi All,
Just for information, I just ordered new gas struts from the original UK manufacturer - Camloc Motion Control.
The part number on the strut is identified as CDA 8B2060100B2L-650N-161661-29/05
Camloc advised me to contact a company called TVR in Blackpool with the part number - U2712TUSCAN - but after explaining that this was not possible, they advised as follows;-
Part Number - CDA8060600056 - low quantity 2 - Price/₤35,00 - total ₤70,00 + VAT + ₤15 postage.
For a low quantity order, I think that ₤35/each to be a good price.

^^^In any event, SGS will supply gas struts if you know the "open" length (fairly easy to measure) and the force required to hold the boot open.
I'd assume you wouldn't be miles away re: force if you got/looked up the recommendation for the Tuscan Mk.1 and halved it if you need a 2 strut fitment?
SGS do stainless bodied struts and very high pressure items with a bleed screw to reduce the opening force to suit.

Hinge bracket and pivot points are completely different, hence 2 x 650 Newton required otherwise the boot lid will not be supported on slope. Even with the convertibles small spoiler.I'd assume you wouldn't be miles away re: force if you got/looked up the recommendation for the Tuscan Mk.1 and halved it if you need a 2 strut fitment?
