Sunny day in Cornwall, off with the roof... er, no.
Anyone experienced snapped/disconnected cable so that rod that slides into roof panel stays put? Bit of twisting got it off, job for the weekend to get it back on!
This reminds me, I must get throttle cable checked... there's always bloody something!

It is a fairly common fault I am afraid.
Most times the cables do not break or become disconnected, they stretch to the point that there is not enough tension on the lever to pull the pin back.
There is some adjustment in the lever mechanism in the boot but it can be a real bugger to get to. If this is not enough then the mechanism and the cable need to be removed, cable length sorted and refitted.
Had my dealer do mine. Took them 2 hours labour to fix.

Kings of Warwick are collecting Monday, fingers crossed it's straightforward and not too costly.
These faults do TVR's reputation no good at all, five minutes with me put a colleague off buying a Tamora which is a real shame but what can you say when the question of build quality crops up?
I'll keep you posted on the roof!

Unfortunately both my roof pin cables stretched to the point they needed replaced. Not cheap, £200 or so quid either side. Apparantly there is some adjustment that can be done, so if they don't seem to be working correctly, I would suggest a quick trip to the dealer to see if they can adjust them to maybe avoid having to replace them.

Adjusted mine - need a 14mm stubby open ended spanner, bit fiddly, but improved mucho - also, squirted gallons of wd40 down the caples - operates much smoother - probably increase cable life. Also also, the hoops on the roof panel were both loose - ground down an allen key to tighten em, at the same time improved the roof 'shut' line. I'm such a sad B@stard sometimes! nothing better to do with a friday night!
