Hi all, new to this, I bought a Tuscan in January, still finding my way around it. Is it correct they don't have a cover for the roof? Although mine didn't come with one I assumed they did originally. However having put the roof in the boot it seems to tight for a cover, but would be beneficial to protect both roof and car when putting away. Advice appreciated.

In mine the boot is designed so that the roof panel can sit horizontally, just under the boot lid.
The roof rests on unpainted sections, so isn't damaged.
Also means that stuff can be stored under the roof and you don't disturb it to get the roof panel.
Quite clever. Although I could have dreamt all this.

Welcome to Tuscan enjoyment.
We had no roof cover with the car.
I was given one in the meantime, but I still do not use it,
as to much hassle. I feel there is no need for it anyway,
when taking care.

I've not had a roof cover for my last two Tuscan's.
I agree that just being careful means that they are not really necessary.

Congrats on your purchase and enjoy.
Sure you have already read on here about being light with your right foot when roads are greasy.
You don't want to do to yours what I did to my first.

Thanks for the replies. Mine sits at the top and went in okay so is probably fine without the cover. Once nestled didn't seem so easy to remove. The only problem with all this is if you have something in the boot you need to get at (like the wife) scrub that I suppose she can stay there for now!nono

I am sure with practice all this is easy.

Yes have experienced a little skittish behaviour, mine has the 4.3 engine which probably doesn't help. I have read a few stories on here ref various accidents at low speeds so am now very wary.

Access to the boot is quite difficult with the roof resting there and a bit annoying as well.

But as the boot is quite big and comfty you could leave wife in there for quite a bit longer.
Don´t forget to bring her in on frosty nights.
biggrin

If car is to skiddish check dampers and geo and as well for old/bad tyres.

I would always put the car away if frosty!

Hopefully shocks okay Nitrons. I suspect the tyres whilst having good tread could be quite old as these cars often don't do so many miles a year. Will look at this and the set up etc. Thanks

Don't believe there ever was a cover for the roof, it sits snugly against the peg on the lock, make sure its seats properly otherwise you'll damage the paintwork when you shut the boot. Can be quite a task to get the other ends up at the right angle to sit on the detents by the roof pin releases. There should be a cover for the rear screen though.

No cover for the roof, on mine it was an interference fit into the boot, with a cover it wouldn't have fitted at all.

My car came with a cover for the rear screen though.
