Just had the Tuscan in for its 1K mile service post rebuild, total 14K miles and found 2 leaky rear shocks...ended up with £500 bill for a 'free' service as the warranty company claim they arnt covered as they are 'wear and tear' items....so its normal for TVR shocks to fail after 14K miles/3 years is it?

Anyone else had their shocks fail early?

TVR shock absorbers are not renowned for long life, although mine did not fail I was never happy with them & changed them to Nitrons after 2 years and 11K miles.

It sounds like the term TVR is a warranty get out clause! Isuzu trooper - front shocks replaced at 40,000miles and rear shocks replaced at 80,000miles - all paid for under Isuzu/extended Isuzu warranty.
Why should a TVRs shocks have a harder life than a 4x4?

The front shocks on my 2000/X Tuscan went at about 7k and the rears about a further 1 or 2k later for the next owner.

Mine have done 31,000 miles and are still fine – no doubt will need changing soon though!
