From time to time, when I get in the car and put the key in the ignition - I get a "WARNING! 0 Volts!" message together with a continous tone. This seems to override the door open message. The car is an October 2000 model.

It does not do it all the time. It has a good healthy battery. Any explanations???

All help appreciated as I am quite new to Tuscans - and my Chimaera never had a go at me like this!!

Temperamental Volt Reading

or TVR for short

I have had this a couple of times in my Tuscan along with the EFI warning. It seemed to reset itself.

I think I will call my car "Christine" then. It is possessed ! So I take it we dutifully ignore this warning and hope it goes away - "they all do that from time to time Sir" kind of thing. Or will TVR have a fix for it in the form of updated "podware"?

I have seen 0 Volts warning on mine September 2000 model twice, if you turn the display selector it clears. On the subject of pod air vents if these stop working it's possibly just the pipe that has fallen off on the vent control box in the passenger footwell.

had it on mine too!! Had the "EFI" and "zero volts" warning a couple of times! Got the same response from my dealer " they all do that occasionally, sir".

I tend to get the EFI warning after I've washed my car or driving in wet conditions. The factory told me this is normal...!?

You will often get spurious error readings on the display if the screen selector knob is between two of its rotating divisions. Just give it a spin and they should (if there is no real problem) go away. The controller chip gets confused if it does not get a proper reading from the knob.

I find that 10 pints of lager has the same effect.
