Hi all
Does anyone recognise this? I found it in my engine bay earlier and have no idea where it is from. I don't think its from the throttle bodies/linkages as they work correctly and the spindle spring is in place but I stand to be corrected!

Cheers,

Andy.

Any indication of size? Stick a 10p piece or a ruler with the photo.

Don't remember seeing that any where when I removed the engine and stripped every bit off it. So don't think its engine related.

Did you find it up by the rad?

Looks like some improvised cable/hose holder.

It was under the airbox on the chassis rail. I was a bit nervous as I'd just taken the throttle bodies off and wondered if it was to do with them. I should have her back up and running this afternoon so I guess if something doesn't work I'll know why!

Just for the record it's around 50mm from end to end as the crow flies.

I wondered where that went, it does not look like anything I have seen in an engine bay before, it looks like a spring of some sort, someone probably dropped it

I've seen something similar on my lawnmower... confused
Do you own a Griff?
Have you been using it to collect grass cuttings by any chance?

Well she's back up and running and everything works so I have to assume it fell off a Grith and flicked under my bonnet at a show.

It's almost like the wire spring off a clothes peg.

Not from a Tuscan i think, looks like a spring from a coupling pedal,
nearly same as from Renault Espace.

I'm glad I binned it then. Wouldn't want anything French near my British P&J!

I have seen similar on accelerator pedals on things like lawn mowers. But how it got to where it was found is a mystery to me

Without wanting to turn this into an inter racial debate looking at what cars come out of Germany compared to France I know who I'd rather listen too!!
