I am thinking about selling my Tuscan SP6, 2001Y 22000 miles. The car has a full TVR dealer history and has just had a full engine rebuild up to 2004 specification. I am at a loss as to what price to sell the car for as there seems to be no real yard stick to pricing, anybody got any idea on what a fair price for the car would be as it is in mint condition.

A quick look at Autotrader sees 2001 cars ranging from £22k upto £32k.

Not much help I know.

Late twenties would seem about right I'd say from the ones I've seen.

Depends on soooo many factors. Colour, condition (paintchips, interior), warranty, whether it needs tyres, has a private plate, air-con, etc. etc.

Somebody I know asked a dealer for a price on their 01 Tuscan.

Outright purchase 22K
Commission sale 24K

So private 25K (ish) would seem to be in the right area.

I was thinking of a price of £26995 as it has literally just had the engine rebuilt to 2004 spec so no worries there then - so I think it would be a good deal as it is in good condition

It really depends on what people are prepared to pay, with the current situation on s6 engines, prices have fallen. I know that yours has had a full rebuild and that will no doubt give potential buyers piece of mind.

I would guess at between 22k and 25k depending on condition. But for the Tuscan it is a buyers market and this is not the best time of year to shift any car let alone a Tuscan.

I would say 21-23k. If it is a red rose, then 25k+

I'd start advertising at £27k, and keep knocking £1k off until it sells. You're not likely to get any more than £26k, I wouldn't have thought and, below £25k or so, it's all variable on other factors (as listed above)
