ACT Exhaust

Looks like my exhaust has seen better days, has anybody fitted a act system. Just wondered how they fit, sound and the quality

Got 2 1/4" cans. Had to reduce from 2 1/2" as they were too loud (mine is decatted std. system).
Understand it a nice system, but can be a bit 'zingy' through the cabin.
Get some advise from Str8six, RG or ACT themselves. Tim @ ACT is a super lad.

I have one, and can't recommend it highly enough. Fit is good, quality looks great. The rear boxes aren't just empty as they have proper bends and perf/wadding in so they have helped reduce the boominess in the cabin, and allow me to run full decats and powertech end cans without it being over the top.

I did also have set of the act end cans on before and they were good quality, and a much deeper/richer sound than the powertech cans. The end cans are quite heavy though, and I just prefer the raspiness of the powertech.

Same experience with Tim for a system for my Chimaera. Top notch guy and they made a custom system that breaks down into smaller pieces for easier shipping to me in Japan. Fit was excellent and easy to put back together. Sound is good, enough of a rumble without being too loud.

I had the full system fitted on my Tuscan S about 2 1/2 years ago, including the shark nosed cans and haven't had any problems since; it gives a much deeper sound that the original. I went for the straight through cans with original cats fitted, this gives nice pops and bangs (if you like that sort of thing) on over-run.

As previously said, Tim is a top bloke, very helpful and the system comes with a lifetime guarantee.
