What do you get from your Mk1 eyeball vents?
Discussion
On my Mk1, I'm only getting cool air from the two eyeball vents below the steering wheel. The speed of the air varies with the fan speed, however the temperature remains cool, even when the screen vents are putting out hot air. I've yet to see if I get cold air via the AC and intend testing that over the next couple of days.
The car had some work done last year which required the removal of the scuttle. I'm concerned that some of the pipework may have come adrift. To be honest, I just can't remember what the vents close to the wheel have output previously. The car is due to go in for snagging this week, so I'd like to know what my fellow Mk1 owners expect from their own systems.

Thanks for the prompt replies. That's OK then. I know the logical purpose of the vents is to cool the driver's hands, and the last thing I want when driving is warm air drying out my eyes. You'd think having had the car for eleven years I'd know what to expect from the heating/cooling equipment.
