Would like to see the paint colour compared to Crystal Topaz - side by side. Unfortunately, as we know, photography fails to pick up the nuances of these paints so I guess I'll have to wait to see one in the flesh.

So Di, if you want to take a little detour (if you are collecting from the factory), feel free to drop by...

Hi Bryan, the colour is similar though a tad darker. The main diff is whereas Crystal Topaz shimmers silvery/gold in the sun, the new colour rainbows with a variety of spectrum colours over the curves and very subtle. Regrets, I am not picking up from factory, but from my local dealer after its PDI. I know cameras aren't as good as the real thing, (or maybe just my skills ) but I will try to get photos of the two together when I do the change over.

Thanks Di,

Just goes to prove that cameras, either film or digital, are not as sensitive to the eye. A photo will therefore never do it justice - its just not possible. The ambient light also makes a huge difference to the effect too.

Anyway, a photo is not necessary to demonstrate your impeccable taste! And I would wager that you are rather excited.

A side by side photo would be great to compare the cars - I look forward to seeing that (may do one with the cars parked back to back - that would be great). How long to wait now then?

That's beautiful, you've even captured the rainbow effect! Can't wait to see at the RAC.

In answer to Seymour and Bryan, I am told about another two weeks. Not sure whether these are Blackpool weeks which tend to be in a different time frame to the rest of the UK, or actual good old fashioned fortnight consisting of 14 days.

As for you Podie, behave yourself, its far to early in the morning.

Reminds me of the colour combination I had in my old car. Have to say the new colour is lovely.

Looks great, but why is the front wheel a different colour from the rear?

Phil.

hadn't noticed. No not really, up at Blackpool they are all like that sir. They are slave wheels, used just to shunt it around the production line and save the nice shiny ones getting scratched etc .

Di has some pictures you'd find even more - as long as she doesn't sent you the side profile one, as the girl in question has a noticeable nose!

Give us a shout when you (or the butler) go to collect as I'd love to join you for the experience if thats OK.

We might be able to recruit Lake and his posh new digital SLR for a photo session...

Tripps is talking about the lovely Lisa who my other half was drooling over during the tour. Sadly Podie I won't be at the R&C as I am globe trotting for three weeks. Tony probably will but regretfully it would seem without my new baby. Hope to catch up in Dec.
