Just a heads up in case any one is after a damaged Tuscan.

Cat C salvage, and going by the pics, there is plenty of work to do. Also a reflex colour so expensive/difficult to paint?

EDIT TO ADD THE ABOVE LINK NO LONGER WORKS, IT WAS SOLD AT AUCTION AND ITS NOW HERE!

GUESS WHO BOUGHT IT!

Anyone genuinely interested should be aware of our friend up in the northeast.

Seems to be buying most salvage Tivs at the moment, then sells on at a profit.

To be fair he is a business, and profit is what business is all about!.

In previous auctions, it looks like he decides on the maximum amount to pay and logs an auto bid.

Any would be bidder should bare that in mind.

Hope someone can save another tiv, and manage to purchase it for a reasonable price.

Hope it isn't left to die!
Last I heard about reflex paint is it had come down dramatically in price. As I was never planning on going full reflex though I didn't investigate further.

That damage is exactly the damage mine had. Chassis pick up point damage, engine mounts bent, wishbone bent, maybe steering column buggered, new front end, new grill, full reprint. I ended up doing a body off. I wouldn't bother bidding as tvr d... always outbids you. I tried. Before the end of the day Tvr D... has any new car he's bought up for sale using the same copart pics plus £1500 added to the auction sold price. In the end i gave up a bought from somewhere else. Tvr D... ended up with a green tuscan that was way too highly priced because I'd bid him up. Made me smile a little.

As I understand it the reflex paint isn't any more of an 'issue' than usual paint. Racing Green told me that its all about getting the base coat right.

Couldn't agree more. 3 years ago I was trying to buy another Tuscan for a project and was always outbid by TVR D... Very frustrating as he will it seems pay any price for one.

That bidding up idea sounds good... smile

I can't find the Tuscan on here via the link... nor with the search.

Does anyone have any details/pics of it? Is it a reflex green?

Yeah it's been sold. Currently on eBay. Dean/Glen bought it.

Can't see the reg but it's not the same car you're thinking about I don't think. Not green for a start.

lol nope - I think the only damage to mine will be a pipe coming off the radiator (as well as the bodywork damage) but I haven't had an official break down of damages yet.

I think it was a reflex purple - cached google to the rescue: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cac...

Sad to see this Sagaris on there too:http://www.copart.co.uk/c2/homeSearch.html?_eventId=getLot&execution=e2s1&lotId=27235683&returnPage=SEARCH_RESULTS
Does it belong to anyone on the forums?

It's in the PH classifieds now. It's not reflex purple, as it has a copper tone to it.
