Dear All,

As far as I am aware, there hasn't been a national T car event as such for a while (I stand to be corrected of course). I don't have many details as yet but TVRCC have kindly arranged for this year's event to be at a new venue, Blenheim Classic Car Show on either Sunday 24th or Monday 25th August 2014 or both (awaiting confirmation).

It will incorporate Chimfest and SCH again which worked well last year, it will also be a focus for T cars.

Details will follow in due course, but we have a date and place.

Although I haven't had anything to do with this event so far, I must say that the Palace is a very good venue for such an event.

What is the precise definition of a 'T' car? All those that came after the Chimera/Cerb?

Yes in the sense of
Tuscan
Tamora
T350
and err Sagaris wink

So Speed 6 engined cars after the Tuscan is the usual defining factor as far as I'm aware.

The Sag is the one that made me think I'd somehow got the definition wrong and caused me to doubt myself.

hehe

Cheers.

Aren't T cars Tamora and derivative cars therefore Tamora, T350, Sag, T400, T440 and Typhon. But not Tuscan 1? Not sure about Tuscan2?

So I move from a Chimaera to a Tuscan 1 and I still don't have a "T Car"

It incorporates Chimfest, SCH, so basically, T cars are being added on to an existing event?

It was a genuine question rather than a statement. I'm not sure where T cars start.

Hi Steve, yes sort of.

In recent years there have been SCH each time with different venues and different organisers. However, in 2012 the event orgniser had to cancel at short notice. Rather than the event be cancelled (and run the risk of being 'lost' in the future) the club stepped in and piggy backed onto another event at Thoresby. That worked well and was repeated in 2013, but this time Chimfest was included (again there was a risk that event would be lost).

This year they chose Blenheim (seems like a good idea to me) and have decided to add the T cars. I wasn't involved in any discussion but I guess similar logic appliedsmile

It's a good idea and may stimulate people into helping organise or plan future events.

Hmmm...I think I'll ask about T Car definition in the General TVR forum.

So it is an exclusive event just for:

Tuscans, Tamoras, T350s, Sagarii and is held at an event for Chims and S models. With all other TVRs welcome.

No.
The tern was coined to differentiate the Speed 6 cars from the earlier cars so it started with the Tuscan.
