Hi guys - I'm trying to fit a high level brake light - it's 12volts. I only want it to light up when I brake. Please could you advise me which wires I should be splicing it into or if I need any additional electrical components!

Many thanks!

Darren

I just went behind the trim panel in the rear of the boot and spliced into the brake light wires. The aftermarket light had a wire with a trace as did the original wiring, so trace to trace, no trace to no trace. My wiring works fine, unfortunately the light fell off and now lives behind the drivers seat.

The problem is I don't want the light lit up normally - only when I brake - did what you described above give the light the same properties as the standard tuscan lights (lit normally when lights are on then bright when braking?)

Thank you! =)

The tail lights and brake lights on a Tuscan MK1 use the same bulb (with 2 filaments) ...one for a lower wattage tail light and one for a higher wattage brake light.
Just identify which wire feeds which ...use a meter across the tail light plugs and then splice into the brake light wire ....I did the same with a high level brake light ..and now also with 2 side and brake lights in the rear spoiler , using 2 brightness LEDS. Hope it helps .

That's awesome thanks guys - shame I don't have a voltmeter..guess I should buy one (or is there anything visually different about the wires?

Btw. love the look of the rear lights on yours - great job
