Tuscan repaint

I want pay a new paint for my tuscan and i would know what is the best type of paint:

Direct gloss paint finish
Or lacquered finish

and how many coat
At blackpool in tvr what did they used in the past?

All modern paints are base coat and clear. This in part helps meet emission laws.

Fairly confident at the time the tuscan was built they would not have used any single stage paints.
