Tuscan man maths!
Discussion
Owned a chimaera 450 for over a year and absolutely love it. But scanning the Tuscans on ebay ( can't copy link on phone) seen lovely dark blue 2001 Tuscan in Rotherham (local) looks pretty nice. Bids only upto £11k with a buy it now of £15k. My question is this. I have money from house sale set aside for an extension to start next summer after planning etc ect. if u bought the Tuscan now surely it would resell easily and not loose that much considering the initial purchase price. Therefore a no brainer to sell the idea to the Mrs of 2 TVR's, tell her not to worry i will sell one of them ( not!) when she wants her bi folding doors!
I know the risk of a major engine bill is present to scupper my man maths!

Tuscan prices are all over the shop lately.
They certainly seem to be up a fair bit from when I sold my last one 4-ish years ago, but that was right at the worst bit of the recession so a bad time to sell.
Certainly they seem at least about the same as when I purchased 6 years ago.
Right now it's anyone's guess what happens when/if new TVR get going and have a car on the market.
I'm planning on keeping mine for a few years yet. Fingers crossed for strong residuals or even prices going up!

yup more man maths required !
I suspect that my Mrs wouldn't believe for a second that when push came to shove and the builders needed paying that the car would be sold !
went for the rover V8 for simplicity and budget as my first TVR, and ended up with a cracker. slightly modified 450 Chimaera, ( Tuscan seats too! )
went for a blast over the tops yesterday!

No No No!
It is a sound financial investment for the future, consider the facts;
No more being made and some being written off, therefore rare breed therefore increasing value week by week
Six cylinders as opposed to eight, therefore lower fuel consumption so more something's for her
Two seats, so you are not proposing to get the secretary on the back seat.... honest mans car
Later model so better safety...
Well running out of ideas but just edit and print the above. Every time I want a car I get her sloshed on red wine, got a Sagaris, Elise and a Tuscan now. Considering buying a vineyard next......
Good luck

I LIKE it ! . She is partial to the vino, think once she has her bloody bi-folding doors she won't care what i buy.... We have 3 kids so maybe a cerbera... It is a sound financial investment for the future, consider the facts;
