The n/s exhaust system is 1" lower than the o/s, this appears to be consistent from quite far forward to the tip of the end can. I haven't jacked the car up yet but is adjustment straight forward or could there be another reason for this? (it's an issue as the n/s bottoms out and lifts itself of the hanger bracket).

Cheers

managed to rip mine off last weekend Richard!
The friendly mechanic that leant me his ramp to have a look showed me that both of the rear hangar rubbers were on their way out, I'd only done them last year, so was somewhat shocked to say the least.
Anyway, back on topic, my cans were almost 1" lower with the old rubber hangars, now theyve been replaced, the cans are high and tight with the car body again, so could just be that your hangars could do with replacing.
Not an expensive or long job, just easier if you can get the car up.

Thanks Benn, I'll order a couple of rubbers (ooer missus) as a precaution.

Easy to adjust the height, there is 2 threaded hangers that mount to the centre of the car, you can loosen the locknut and screw each one up or down. Bit of a faff tho! 13mm spanner.
