alternatives for decat
Discussion
I have a Chimaera, not a Tuscan. But when I did my decat I went for a Clive Ford Y piece, as I was told that the standard Y piece, when decatted, sounded like a fart in a dustbin. Mine has a different, more brutal, sound than the catted car, but is fun. I am not sure if there is a suitable main cat section that you can substitute in for the Tuscan, but i do know a man who has a de-catted Tuscan and will ask him if nobody comes forward with an answer for you.
Given all the previous posts on this topic it's clear everyone has their own personal preference with exhaust set up/noise.
I bought a Tuscan S which had been de-catted, I refitted the cats but sleeved the end cans. For me the sound is great, it's comfortable inside the car but really barks when revved - on deceleration it pops and bangs nicely.
However I'm after something with a bit more aesthetics so have ordered a pair of straight through SS cans from Powertech (with bespoke ends), having spoken with Simon from Powertech he advises the car will have a deeper rumble than with the sleeved cans.
I can update you in a couple of weeks once received and fitted (in time for the BNG I hope).
Cheers

If its just extra noise your after, leave the cats in place and get the rear end modified, remove the rear silencers and replace with straight-through tubes. It doesn't reduce the engine bay temperatures but it doesn't effect the MOT either.

I had mine done a few years ago (hence it looking a little grubby lol) but you can still tune the noise with different cans. I'm running some lush ex-Sagaris straight-through cans which are epic loud but have a slight tinny rasp, before I had carbon can co cans which sounded great but just lacked a little 'drama'.

Best modification I've done, and sound even better with the larger bore 'S' system.
