URGENT - How do you get the shelf off on a Tuscan?

My trimmer is having problems finding the necessary bolt to take the shelf off so he can carpet the shelf.

He belives it could be throught the stereo?

Does any one know?

Your urgent help would be so gratefull.

Not sure, did it 3 years ago, think there is one in center under the radio, but i seem to remember the column being a problem, think i cut a small piece of the shelf were the column went thru

There are 2 screws at each end of the shelf going in to the metal brackets, a 13mm bolt running under the headunit in the tunnel trimming.
As mentioned there before you will need to make a cut in the shelf in order to be able to remove it, best way I found was to use a hacksaw blade - took about 30 seconds.
Remove the dash top (2 hidden bolts one each end) and remove the top of the pod, lower the steering wheel to make access to the rear of the shelf easy.

Once cut its just a case of wiggling the shelf free.

The real fun starts when you have to get it back in.
