battery question
Discussion
Got back to garage today to find the Tuscan plugged in to the accumate via the ciggy lighter as usual but the dash lights and indicators clicks on and off?
Thought the battery might be the cause so took it out.
Questions are as follows (all help appreciated)
1.Why would the battery go flat while being plugged in to Accumate?
2.There was no strap to hold battery in place, should there be one?
3.If so were do I get one?
4.Battery was a Unipart GBA 3072 is this the correct battery?
5.CHEERS

Just found this on MY TUSCAN site and not sure which bolt it refers to can anybody help?
Battery tray bolt wearing through and causing an electrical short
Not so much of a common problem, but an important issue that owners should be aware of:
One of the bolts in the battery tray on the Tuscan can wear through the housing on the charging point causing it to short out. This is potentially a very dangerous condition and can render a vehicle fire destroyed. Remove the passenger side wheel and check the battery compartment at least every 6 months. It’s a good idea to use loc-tite breakable thread sealant for the battery compartment cover.

Google "Tayna" batteries.
Excellent company, next day delivery, about 20% cheaper than Halfrauds...and the battery dimensions are exact.
Got one for my Tuscan and fitted perfectly - see other threads on here for folks who have slight mismatches with battery sizes causing them to 'trim' lugs off the battery for it to fit.
There is a clamp which pinches bottom of battery in the tray.
I think the bolt referred to in the quotation you gave, refers to the bolt holding the Andersen connector to the chassis - it goes through plastic body of connector and could allow a short circuit.

Local places were around £90 for similar spec'. The folks at Tayna are really knowledgeable & helpful too.
