Hanging on for dear life!

This car, as much as I love it, is slowly destroying me! Last month I had to fork out for 4 tyres, anti roll bar links & CV boot replacement, & dash pod issues. This month I've had a washer hose fall off which then sat on the manifold & set alight, broken passenger seat belt clip, oil temp sensor faulty, alternator belts need changing & now my radiator is leaking.
These may sound like menial issues to some, possibly almost consumable items even, but It's taking well over half my wages every month just to keep this thing going & is beginning to suffocate me!
Is anyone in need of any new body parts?? I need keep my legs for driving but there must be some internal organs I can do without?!
I'm at a point where I need to start selling things just so I can drive it everyday & carry on living my dream, but rest assured I will cling to it until I have nothing left to sell but my granny. How much do old people go for??

Why don't you get yourself a cheap daily hack, take the tuscan off the road and work through all the issues. And don't be tempted to use any "stop leak" products as you'll end up potentially blocking coolant channels in an engine that already runs pretty hot! These may sound like menial issues to some, possibly almost consumable items even, but It's taking well over half my wages every month just to keep this thing going & is beginning to suffocate me!

Know the feeling..... Otter switch a few weeks ago, alternator last week, road tax on my son's car, now the heater fan switch has stopped working, need new brakes and front shocks. There's always something, but it's soooooo much fun!!
What's an Otter switch? Had mine for 2 years and never noticed it...tef said:

Ok, had my fun, and I have been trotting out that line in Indian restaurants for so many years now that my wife turns off her hearing aid at Tandoori time.
It's the switch that controls when the cooling fans kick in. On my Chimaera it's a brass lump with two wires attached, situated half way down the left hand side of the radiator. On early Chims it is at the bottom of the swirl pot. On a Tuscan....not got clue.

That's because it hasn't got one. It's the switch that controls when the cooling fans kick in. On my Chimaera it's a brass lump with two wires attached, situated half way down the left hand side of the radiator. On early Chims it is at the bottom of the swirl pot. On a Tuscan....not got clue.
