My 2003 Mk1 S has a tendency for the exhaust to bottom out on the undulations of rural roads.

Is there a suggested height that the corners of the outriggers should be set to from the ground? I have a feeling my car may b sitting a bit too low.

Thanks

The rear springs on MK1 Tuscans are a bit soft, you could upgrade to the latest Tuscan S Mk2 blue springs which are better at resisting bump induced grounding. I think the white springs are 27.5Nm and the blues are 50Nm (apols if I've used the wrong units) . Note the fronts springs are the same rate .

You would need to adj/change the damping rate at the same time

The car has racing red shockies which were fitted by the previous owner, there is scope to add more pre-load to the springs but I was interested to know if there was a recommended ground clearance.

Cheers
