TVR Tuscan reversing and brake lights not working?
Discussion
Hi, no wiring diagrams to be found I'm afraid! I had the rev light problem on mine and it was rhe switch by the gearstick had come loosel as for brake lights either try pulling all ur relays out and put them back in again, it fixed my rear lights malfunction I had. The other thing is try ur brake light switch behind the pedal.

I don't own a Tuscan, but as both those lights are attached to the boot, i would be looking at wiring connections in the boot, in case my handbag or shopping something had collided with the wiring
Wiring runs under the carpet, so it would need to pierce the carpet before it actually starts affecting the wires...Amy,
The reversing light and (I think) drivers side brake light share the same fuse (might be both brake lights).
Double check you have the correct fuse identified.
The reversing light switch can be a source of a short circuit...which will blow the fuse on this circuit...hence loss of reverse light and brake light(s)
The other vulnerable component is the brake light switch...easily seen above the brake pedal..a short circuit on this switch would have the same effect.

Hi
Thank you for your replies. I have taken a look at the reversing switch and the bake pedal switch which all appear to be fine and so is the fuse. I can only think tha somewhere a wire has rubbed through. Not quite sure what the next step is. But i will update you upon further investiagtion!
Kind regards
Sam

Hi I have the exact Same problem .there must be a break in the wiring from the fuse box as the break lights and reverse have the Sam fuse . I tried to trace the wires from the fuse board but once it goes into the loom it is virtually impossible to follow with out pulling the loom apart . I hade live coming out of the fuse box so connected a wire onto the live feed and ran it down to the pedal switch , this fixed the break lights . Then I pulled the gear leaver carpet up and took a live to the reverse switch and it now works . Hope that helps !
